Eight academic hours of the course wereassigned to the library. During the lectures and seminars students werepresented with services and resources of the library, information retrievalin online catalogues and databases, and methods for preparation of bibliographicinformation. After finishing the course of the library, studentshad to prepare final tasks as a part of the final score of the “Academicliteracy” course. Positive experience of cooperation in the field of the improvementof information skills, which has started several years ago, willbe continued in the future years.Following in the library’s tradition, librarians or members of the facultiesinitiated several meetings with the students. Thus information literacyskills were improved at the Faculty of Communication, Physics,Philosophy, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Chemistry and the Institute ofInternational Relations and Political Science. In cooperation with VilniusUniversity Students’ Representation, the library organized its traditional“Open Days”.
