An exhibition “Ab urbecondita“ (From the Foundation of the City) was opened on May 18. It presented60 towns and cities from the collection of documents safeguarded at the RareBook Department. The exhibition showed cities depicted in the engravings fromthe 15th to the 18th century – antique towns, capitals of various countries inEurope, Asia, Central America and Africa and other well-known cities and towns.On November 18, the exhibition on cities and towns was changed by anotherone dedicated to music – “Musica sacra et profana” (Sacred and Secular Music).This exhibition was devoted to European Academic Heritage Day and the Year ofMikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.
