MIDAS is the project carriedout by Vilnius University in cooperation with other partners. It is financed by theEU Structural Funds and the state budget under the Operational Programme forEconomic Growth for 2007-2013, Priority 3 “Information Society for All”, measureNo. VP2-3.1-IVPK-13-V “Scientific Data Archive”. The objective of the MIDASproject is to establish national integrated digital archive of research data, whichwould provide electronic services, collect and store empirical data (obtained inthe fields of biomedicine, physical, humanitarian, social and technologic sciences),and other relevant information and which would ensure a free access to thedata via internet to all interested persons. Duration of the project is 30 months.16.0017.0018.0019.0020.0021.0022.0023.0024.0001.0002.0003.00On October 25, the Senate of Vilnius University was presented with four bibliometricresearches:• Publications of VU scientists in DB Web of Science 2010• Publications of VU researchers in the field of humanitarian and social sciencesin DB Web of Science• Publications of VU researchers in the field of humanitarian sciences in DB SCO-PUS• Publications in the field of humanitarian sciences – comparative analysis ofindicators (Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Germany).In addition, attempts were made to identify prevailing attitudes cultivated byjournals which published these publications towards the open access. Having inview the proposals offered by scientists, the library calculated h-index for journalswhere researchers in the field of humanitarian and social sciences have beenpublishing their articles.
