This illustrates that the truereliability indexes of multistory brick buildings designed according to the currentcode in various region are different. Thus the goal of equal seismic safety fails tocome true.6. CONCLUSIONSThis paper presents the seismic reliability indexes of four multistory brick buildingsin given regions of intensity VII and VIII at different performance levels by the LatinHypercube Sampling technique and nonlinear seismic time history response analysis.The results illustrate that there are unbalanced reliability indexes of multistory brickbuildings designed according to the current code in different regions. Thus the goal ofequal seismic safety fails to come true.In the current code, the seismic constructional columns of multistory brickbuildings are treated as details of seismic design and installed according to experience419
