Tuesday 19Father and Willie went to Slaterville in A.M. And got ready to go to Moraviavisiting. Father, Mother and Willie started about 3 o'clock. Theron, Frank and I staid athome. Uncle Richard and Helen came home from Moravia today.Wednesday 20Theron and I was at home, Frank went to school. Mr. Head stopped and got a 53lb ham towards his saw bill. Grandfather & Lottie Bush was here a few minutes. Lottiestaid with Aunt Ruth all night. Orville, Lottie and I visited at Mr. Haynes' in theevening.Tuesday, February 21, 1878Rained. Snow going off fast. We had a new milks cow last night. OrvilleSurdam and I visited the school this afternoon. I went to Caroline Center with mail carrier to get themail because Post M. could not find mail key when I got back they had found it.Jackson Haynes was here in evening.Saturday 23Theron, Frank and I was at home all day. Some cooler but quite muddy in places.Tuesday 26Father and I went to the saw mill and got a load of lumber. Grandfather was herein the forenoon. Froze up hard, snowed a little. Uncle Nathan was here in evening.Wednesday, February 27, 1878Father and I drawed hay off of other place. Sleighing poor. Uncle Nathan andfamily went a visiting and I done his chores.
