Thursday, October 10, 1878The boys & I picked stones on Orin Rich's side hill this forenoon. Afternoon wedrawed in corn & piled it on barn floor. Henry laid wall all day & Father helped some.Pleasant.Friday 11Father bought hound pup. Henry worked all day at wall he laid outside & Fatherthe inside. I tended mason in forenoon. Afternoon Willie & I went & got a load <strong>of</strong>sand. Uncle Nathan's folks gone to Seymour Hults. Theron & I staid there all night &done chores.Saturday 12Father & Henry laid wall all day. I tended mason & banked up the wall. The boysboiled hog feed. We boil every other day. Sometimes <strong>of</strong>tener. Father, Henry, L. Welch,F. Benjamin & the boys went cooning tonight. I staid at home.Sunday, October 13, 1878Ruth L. was home today. Henry, Phineus & Charles Crum was here a short time.Theron & I went up on other place to salt sheep & colt. Father & Mother went over toAunt Urana Smith's to see Mary Murry this evening.Monday 14Father, Frank, Willie & I went to Ithaca. Bought new stove, 6 pf <strong>of</strong> boots & 4 <strong>of</strong>shoes, etc. I had my watch cleaned. Simeon & Lydia Brown <strong>of</strong> Apalachin and Mr. &Mrs. C. Winston & Julia Winston <strong>of</strong> Union came here this P.M. & staid all night. AuntRuth & Uncle Nathan here in eve.Tuesday 15Father & Mother went with the company to Benson Norris' and as they wereaway, they went to Daniel Quick's and to Johnson Quick's' in the evening. The companystaid all night. Father & Mother came home about 11 o'clock P.M. I finished the wall forhog house.Wednesday, October 16, 1878Pleasant & quite warm. Father helped Uncle Richard thresh. The boys & I killeda sheep, boiled hog feed, husked corn and so on. Viola Crum helped Mother. Mr. &Mrs Winston & Mr. & Mrs. Brown came back here tonight. Julia staid at J.
