There are a number of dedicated programmes <strong>and</strong> activities <strong>to</strong> help residents take part<br />
<strong>and</strong> enjoy physical activity, <strong>and</strong> become fit <strong>and</strong> healthy.<br />
Exercise Referral Scheme<br />
The exercise referral scheme encourages<br />
Westm<strong>in</strong>ster residents of any age, who may<br />
be <strong>in</strong>active as a result of a medical compla<strong>in</strong>t<br />
or disability, <strong>to</strong> improve their health through a<br />
programme of exercise.<br />
To access the scheme, you can be referred<br />
by any health professional <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g your GP,<br />
nurse or physiotherapist.<br />
Disability programmes<br />
Westm<strong>in</strong>ster Sports Unit is committed<br />
<strong>to</strong> provid<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>clusive <strong>sports</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>leisure</strong><br />
opportunities <strong>to</strong> enable disabled people <strong>to</strong><br />
participate <strong>in</strong> sport <strong>and</strong> physical activity.<br />
