Robinson Satheeskumar, J. Gerald,S. Reginald, S. Antony Sebastian Reval, S. ArulSutharson, S. Patrick Leo, And P. Antony Jesuthasanreceived the minor order of Lector. The conferringof ministries of Lector and Acolyte coincided withthe installation of Fr. Anthonimuthu OMI as the newsuperior of the De Mazenod Scholasticate. Rev. Fr.Provincial who presided over the Eucharistconferred the minor orders on the brothers.Congratulation and best wishes dear Scholastics.They were also ordained deacons on the 22 nd ofOctober, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Church, Colombuthurai,Jaffna, by the bishop of Jaffna Rt. Rev. Dr. ThomasSavundaranayagam. The diocesan priests, Rev.Sisters and the parents of the brothers were presentat this ordination ceremony.Ordination to the PriesthoodPerpetual Vows and DiaconateSix of our Scholastics, Bros. M Paul Nadchethiram OMI, the ProvincialSuperior, officiated at the ceremony and receivedthe Vows as delegate of the Superior General. Abig number of Priests, religious, and the parents andrelatives of the brothers were present at thisceremony.Rev. Bros. Robert Robinson. Omi, PakianathanChristy Nirmalarajan. Omi, were ordained priestsby His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. ThomasSavundaranayagam, the Bishop of Jaffna, at St.Mary’s Cathedral, Jaffna, on the 14th of December2009. The Superior General of the Oblates of MaryImmaculate, Most Rev Fr. Wilhelm Stickling Omi,was present to grace the occasion. They made theirperpetual profession in the Oblate congregation onthe 17th of July 2009. They were ordained deaconsby Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Savundaranayagam , thebishop of Jaffna on the 18th of July 2009. The newlyordained priests P. Christy Nirmalarajan OMI andR. Robinson OMI offered their thanksgiving massat St. Antony’s Church, Chunnakam on the 17th ofDecember 2009, and OLR Church, Jaffna on the 19thof December 2009 respectively.
