A Glorious ReflectionChantalle Schutte (Editor)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This year Doxa Deo is celebrating its 15th birthday! This season of special celebration requires not only a time of reflecting on thepast 15 years of city impact, but also a time of reflecting on the glorious yearsto come. We thank God for the grace that He has shown to our ministry andpraise Him for the glorious impact that will be achieved in the future.God entrusted the Doxa Deo ministry with a significant dream: “To establishGod’s reign in 12 cities”. Over the past 15 years we have experienced God’srevelation with regard to His dream for cities and how we are integrated inHis calling. We have launched several initiatives to see this dream becomea reality. The purpose of this publication is to celebrate the different waysin which Doxa Deo is transforming cities and also to share the extent of theimpact these initiatives are achieving.---------------------------------------The Challenge of BEING a CITY CHANGERAlan Platt (Visionary Leader)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our name “Doxa Deo” was birthed out of the realisationthat we were called as a ministry to reveal to every manthe DOXA (the opinion) of DEO (God) upon their lives. This revealed identity would transform and establish people as agents ofthe Kingdom to function as CITY CHANGERS, making a contribution to theTRANSFORMATION of the cities they are in. The key to our explosive growth andimpact as a ministry 15 years ago was the unveiling of this truth over people’slives. This will remain the key to our effectiveness in the journey ahead! Our primary ministry is and will remain the unveiling of God’s opinion ofacceptance and favour over people’s lives - the Grace and Glory established in thework of the Son, Jesus Christ. What exciting news! This is our message: Discoverwho you really are! Consistent with the promise of God, the Holy Spirit givesauthentic guarantee to the fact that our faith is in what God believes to be trueof us. God’s elevated opinion is now my reference, revealedto us through the Son. You are in Him, He is in you,and as He is so are you in this world.BlessingsAlanWe trust that you will enjoy thisspecial publication with us! Wehope that as you read it you willexperience a renewed “awakening”in your spirit – recognising theglory of God in our cities. Moreimportantly we hope that you willexperience a renewed “awakening”in your role as CITY CHANGERin achieving the dream of citytransformation! What is a CITY CHANGER?A CITY CHANGER is someone who has apassionate relationship with God and whoexemplifies the servant heart of Christ butalso one who establishesthe reign of our King inpeople’s lives and in oursociety. (Micah 6:8)Jean SymonsEph 1:13 (Mirror Word) “Now youalso have discovered yourselves tobe equally included in Him havingwitnessed the word of truth – theunveiled logic of God.” God cameto reveal to us that we are missingsomething. He sent the blueprintof His Son to entice us to desire thenew life. May God use Doxa Deo inthe next season to reveal more andmore the knowledge of the Glory ofGod to the people of the cities wehave been called to!page _ two
