21 st of August 2012Dear Parents,Ski Trip, 12th – 20 th of January 2013, Saas Fee, SwitzerlandWe are offering our AISM students a wonderful opportunity to take part in our first school ski trip.The ski trip will form part of the AISM commitment of providing a broad learning experience and wehave arranged for students in Years 7 to 12 to have the opportunity to travel to Saas Fee inSwitzerland during January 2013.Ski trips are a new addition to our varied program, and AISM has come of age and we are ready tooffer our students this exciting opportunity.The trip will take place in the last week of our Christmas holidays. A mid week trip may be offereddepending on uptake and exact travel dates will be confirmed as we gauge the levels of interest.Although January seems a long time away, places have to be booked with the hotel, Ski Companyand airline well in advance.We have scrutinized the costs involved to keep them as low as possible. The cost of the trip will beapproximately 10000RM for a group of 16 or more students and 11000RM for a group of 8 students.Please note that the trip is fully inclusive and all inclusions are listed below:1. Airfares (KL-Geneva-KL)2. All applicable taxes and tolls including road tolls and resort tax3. Transport to and from the airport in Geneva4. Travel Insurance5. 7 Nights Full Board Accommodation: Pension Heino, Saas Grund6. Ski/ Snowboard Equipment7. Helmet Rental8. 5 hours of ski tuition per day with qualified ski instructors9. 6 day ski pass for Saas Fee10. Snowtraxx resort representative team to look after the groups11. Students will have the opportunity to rent a ski suit if they do not already have one. Your ski suit willbe waiting for you upon arrival at the hotel. This may be beneficial if you do not already own a skisuit. Ski suit rental for the week costs 250.00RM. You will have the opportunity at a later date toadvise us whether you wish to rent a ski suit.Important: If your child requires a visa we will provide you with further information on how toobtain a Schengen visa in due course. It allows students to take partin something they would not be able to do in Malaysia and enables them to learn new skills,experience a different culture and take part in team activities. Beginner skiers are welcome on thetrip, as full beginner instruction is provided.In order to make payment easier, we have arranged for payment to be made across 3 instalments,which are as follows:1.
