Ethics and Values, ContinuedPersonal andprofessionalvaluesPeople hold two sets of values: personal values and professional ororganizational values. Often both sets are the same, but not always. If bothorganizational and personal values align, the organization is likely to maintainhigh ethical standards.ConflictingvaluesIf they conflict, ethical dilemmas arise. To be credible, values must serve asmore than mere ideas.Example: An organization advocates service to customers yet punishesemployees who can't meet vague or unrealistic standards.
