In the future, Dolomite will be offering self-priming EO Pumps as well assolutions with flow-sensor feedback control using the Mitos Flow Sensor range.EO Pump Core Basic (top view),Part No. 3200246EO Pump Core Bubble Free top view (left) and bottom view(right), Part No. 3200247MAR-000055 v1.9 Page 2 of 8

The Dolomite Centre LtdVoltage and controlThe flow rate through the core depends on the applied voltage. Flow rate is alsodependent on back pressure as well as being liquid dependent. For a positive applied voltage, the flow is from top (clover leaf side) to bottom (vent holeside). Although the pumps can be run backwards, this is not recommended as bubbleformation will block the membrane and could cause damage. For simple experiments,Dolomite provides a controllable Power Supply (Part No. 3200274).Connection to the core should be made using sprung contacts or conductive epoxy.Under no circumstances should a heat bonding technique be used as this will causepermanent damage. The EO Pump Cores should not be run at higher voltages than 15V (12V for aqueous)and should never be allowed to run dry, as this could lead to breakdown of the electrodesand porous pump structure.Typical PerformanceTypical flow-pressure characteristics, curves for 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 15V DC from leftto right (fluid: DI water)MAR-000055 v1.9 Page 4 of 8

The Dolomite Centre LtdElectro-osmotic Pump Open Interface (Part No. 3200251)The EO Pump Open Interface uses EO Pump Seal top and bottom to create a secureconnection to the EO Pump Basic and Bubble-Free Cores.Dolomite’s new Electro-osmotic Pump range- openDolomite’s new Electro-osmotic CorePump range- assembledThe Electro-osmotic Pump Open Interface provides a 3ml open for fluid intake and a ¼-28fitting for fluid output. The interface is supplied with 0.5m cable with free stripped ends toconnect to any suitable power source supply or the Power Supply for the EO pump (partnumber 3200274).Main Benefits of Electro-osmotic Pump Open InterfaceSpring pins and twist action lid allow easy connection and disassembly from thepumpSprung top to provide an even and consistent pressureFixed reservoir retained in the lidEasy connection via 2 core cable (supplied)Venting holes to allow use of bubble-free pumps¼”-28 UNF fitted positioned for use on a bench surfaceNo screws or tools requiredMAR-000055 v1.9 Page 6 of 8

The Dolomite Centre LtdEO Pump seal pack – 5 Top and 5 Bottom seals (Part No. 3200252)Suitable for use with both Basic and Bubble free, the seals provide a secure connectionbetween the EO Pump Core and Interface. The top seal provides a watertight seal andtwo holes for electrical connections whilst the bottom seal provides venting holes for usewith EO Pump Core Bubble Free.Power Supply for EO PumpsThis power supply is suitable for use with the EO Pump core and Interface. The powersupply has an operating voltage range of 1.5V to 30V DC. The output voltage is controlledmanually via a dial and LCD display showing accurate indication of output voltage andoutput current. The power supply is supplied with: AC power input cable - UK AC power input cable – Europe AC power input cable - US 2 x wires with crocodile clipsCustom OptionsWhilst our standard cores cover a wide range of conditions, Dolomite can also developcustomized solutions for higher flow rates and pressure and can assist with the integrationof cores into customer designed holders.
