About Dr. Emil Svoboda, PhD, DDSDr. Emil Svoboda graduated from the University of Toronto with a PhD and DDS. He practices Generaland Implant Dentistry in his clinic in Brampton, Ontario. He has earned Fellowships with the Academyof General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a Diplomate with theAmerican Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. Dr. Svoboda has published dental researcharticles and has lectured worldwide about implant dentistry. He was recently awarded with theHonoured Fellow designation from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in Las Vegas. This wasfor significant contribution to implant dentistry. He was also given the Award of Merit by the OntarioDental Association for significant contribution to dentistry.About the CourseDr. Svoboda will show how to approach the “alveolar ridge with moderate deficiency in width” and placean immediate implant with a high degree of certainty. He has been developing his technique for bonemanipulation over the past 20 years. His bone spreading technique utilizing handpiece driven screws isboth practical for the patient and efficient for the dentist.Dr. Svoboda believes that the bone spreading graft is primary and should be considered before any othertechnique. In cases where bone spreading may be insufficient, it can be used to make the alternative grafteasier and it can be used to the failing graft.
