Bailey SchnurrJunior • Major: NursingHometown (High School): Sunbury, OH(Big Walnut)Schnurr returns for her third season with theMount. She saw action in six of the team’s seveninvitationals last fall, missing only the Queen CityInvitational. Schnurr was the team’s third-fastest runner in two meetslast season and fourth-fastest runner in the other four meets. Schnurrturned in times of 23:17 and 23:18 in back-to-back weeks at the All-Ohio Championship and the Wilmington College Fall Classic. She isalso on the Mount’s track & field team. Head Coach Tina Blakley saysthat Schnurr has proven many times her competitiveness and workscontinually throughout the season to make personal improvements aswell as encouraging her teammates. Bailey is the daughter of Jennyand Tom Schnurr.Kelleen (Albert) ScottJunior • Major: Athletic TrainingHometown (High School): Newark, OH(Newark Catholic)Scott returns for her third season with the Mount.She competed in six meets in 2011 for the <strong>Lions</strong>,recording the team’s top finish at the WilmingtonCollege Fall Classic. Scott also was the Mount’s second fastest runnerin four meets last fall, as she had four meets where she turned intimes under 23 minutes, including a season-best and personal-besttime of 21:34 at the Wilmington College Invitational. Head Coach TinaBlakley calls Scott a strong competitor. Kelleen is the daughter ofKaren and David Scott.Emily WohlfromSophomore • Major: Inclusive Early ChildhoodEducationHometown (High School): Cincinnati, OH(Oak Hills)Wohlfrom returns for her second season with theMount. She raced in all seven of the team’s meetlast season, and was the <strong>Lions</strong>’ second-fastest runner at the NCAADivision III regional. Wohlfrom also had four other meets where shefinished as the Mount’s third-fastest runner. In addition, she hadfour meets last season when she recorded times under 24 minutes,including a season-best 22:19 at the All-Ohio Championship. HeadCoach Tina Blakley says that Wohlfrom has a dynamic personality andbrings a lot of energy to the team. Blakley adds that her sophomorerunner is focused and through determination continues to improveher performances. Wohlfrom is also on the Mount’s track & field team.Emily is the daughter of Kathy and Patrick Wohlfrom.<strong>2012</strong> First-Year Runners’ ProfilesPHOTONOTAVAILABLECarly RuwanFreshman • Major: Pre-NursingHometown (High School): Cincinnati, OH(Mother of Mercy)Amanda ShelbyFreshman • Major: Athletic TrainingHometown (High School): West Chester, OH(Lakota West)Shelby joins the <strong>Lions</strong> for her first season. Sheraced in the Ohio High School state meet for threeseasons, recording a top individual finish of 28thduring her freshman season. Shelby also competed for her high schooltrack & field team. She was a three-time All-GMC selection in crosscountry, two-time Butler County Runner of the Year, and her team’sMost Valuable Runner all four seasons. Shelby won her school’s PringleAward (for being the most accomplished senior athlete) for both crosscountry and track & field. In addition, Shelby was in the NationalHonor Society and graduated Cum Laude. She was a two-time AcademicAll-Ohio honoree and three-time All-Academic First Team GMC selectionin both sports.
