ReachThe ride takes place on the day of the historiccountry fair in the village of Reach at the endof Devil’s Dyke. We’ll arrive in time to witnessthe opening of the fair at noon by the Mayorof Cambridge and his attendants dressed up intheir robes. This tradition goes back over 800years and is accompanied by the throwing ofhandfuls of new pennies for “the poor villagers”which nowadays children eagerly scrabble for asmany as they can. There are stalls, fairground rides, a maypole, morris dancing and food and drink tents. It’sperfect for a family day out. The ride back toCambridge will leave at 2 and 2.30pm on thevery quiet roads towards the fens, via Lode andrejoining the outgoing route at Bottisham. The RideBring friends, come as a group with a theme,a colour, a sound or the logo of your business.Round up colleagues, students, clients andfamily.
