This number has increased by slightly morethan 10% in the past two years and – according to the teachers themselves– will continue to increase in the years ahead (Figure 6.3). Of the teacherswho already develop digital learning materials and/or plan to do so,half are willing to make their materials available to other teachers onthe Internet (Figure 6.2). A fourth are willing to do so subject to certainconditions; many teachers want something in return, for example a fee,other materials, or time.56

A littlemore than half of teachers also use subject-specific programs forknowledge transfer. Only a small group of teachers take an interest inprograms intended to support knowledge construction.• A fourth of all learning material is digital. Teachers expect that thispercentage will increase considerably in the years ahead.• Approximately a third of teachers occasionally develop their own digitallearning materials. That is 10% more than two years ago. In two years’time, more than half of teachers expect to be developing their owndigital learning materials.57
