Highly alkaline solutions have the potential to damagethe adhesive bonds between the planks.PROACTIVE PROTECTION OF YOUR FLOOR• When moving appliances or heavy furniture it is always wise to laya plywood panel on your floor and “walk” the item across it. Thisprotects your floor from scuffing and tears.• Use floor protectors under furniture to reduce indentation. As ageneral rule of thumb, the heavier the item, the wider the floorprotector needed.• Place a walk-off mat at outside entrances to reduce the amountof dirt brought into your home. We strongly recommend matswithout a latex or rubber backing since these backings can causepermanent discoloration.• All Armstrong floor care products have been specifically developedto care for Armstrong floors.ARMSTRONG WEAR WARRANTY LIMITATIONSThis warranty essentially guarantees that the floor will not wear out innormal domestic use, however other forms of physical damage are notcovered: more specifically the warranty does not cover the following:1. Use of the floor covering in a commercial interior (e.g. a commercialoffice or shop); this applies to all grades of product except thoseachieving EN32 classification.2. Use of the floor covering in an outside / external location.3. Defects arising from poor installation (this includes damage arisingfrom subfloor irregularities, for example excessive unevenness, loosenails or other protrusions; visual surface defects caused by previousfloor coverings that should have been removed or covered, forexample ceramic or bitumastic tiles, floor boards, cushioned vinyl, orby failure in the underlayment seams ‘peaking’ or opening due to useof incorrect adhesive or seaming method; edge to edge shadevariation, discoloration arising from installation next to a source ofexcessive heat discoloration caused by ‘bottom up’ staining (this isstaining caused by the subfloor which may have contained excessivemoisture, residual old adhesive or other staining agent – a competentprofessional installer would prevent such damage); visible trowelmarks; Armstrong recommends that any defects thought to berelated to poor installation are referred in the first instance to theretailer from whom the floor covering was purchased).4. Cuts, tears, gouges, burns or damage caused by stiletto or sharp highheels (these will even damage concrete!), sharp or hot objects droppedon the floor, dragged appliances, unprotected furniture feet, etc.5.
