PIPE EXP<strong>OS</strong>E<br />

FORCE<br />

Specifies that messages are exposed to exit 02A, message automation, and exit<br />

16 regardless of whether they have been previously exposed to those<br />

interfaces.<br />

NOLOG<br />

Specifies that messages are processed as indicated by other specified keywords,<br />

but no logging is to occur.<br />

RESPECT<br />

Specifies that messages that have already been exposed to exit 02A, message<br />

automation, or exit 16 is not exposed to the same interfaces again. The default<br />

value is RESPECT.<br />

TOTRAP<br />

Specifies that messages are only exposed to TRAP processing. TOTRAP implies<br />

NOLOG.<br />

v EXP<strong>OS</strong>E cannot be a first stage.<br />

v Exposure can cause messages to be deleted. For example, if message automation<br />

matches the message and DISPLAY(NO) is the action, then that message is<br />

considered deleted and does not continue in the pipeline. Such deletion can<br />

affect the processing of CORRWAIT, T<strong>OS</strong>TRING, and TAKE that follow a<br />

CORRCMD, NETVIEW, MVS, or VTAM stage.<br />

v Exposure causes null characters (X'00') in messages to be translated into blanks<br />

(X'40').
