Mouse FISH ProbesNew applications for mouse molecular cytogenetics are becoming apparent. Such applications include thedefinition of transgene integration sites in epigenetics studies, the characterization of the mouse genomeas a result of increasingly sophisticated techniques for its engineering and the screening for cytogeneticabnormalities in cell lines, such as embryonic stem cells. FISH mapping in mouse is complicated by the relativedifficulty of mouse chromosome identification (karyotyping) by laboratories that are not accustomed to mousechromosome banding techniques. Fluorescent karyotyping can be made easier by the use of counterstains ormultiple reference probes but each approach needs specialized equipment and experience.Cat.# KBI-30501 Cat.# KBI-30502 Cat.# KBI-30503Kreatech has developed a couple of mouse region-specificprobes prepared from defined BAC clones which are labeledwith PlatinumBright dyes. These mouse probes are commonly used when developingmodel systems for studies in the field of genetics, mutagenesis, developmental cancer biology and also as human surrogatesfor studying the effects of genotoxic agents.Ordering informationDescription Color Tests Cat#All Mouse Centromere (AMC) red/green 10 KBI-30500TK (11qE1) / AurKa (2qH3) red/green 10 KBI-30501TK (11qE1) / WC Y red/green 10 KBI-30502RAB9B (XqF1) / DSCR (16qC4) red/green 10 KBI-30503RAB9B (XqF1) / WC Y red/green 10 KBI-30505Mouse FISH Probes90Cat.# KBI-30500Hybridization of the All Mouse Centromere probe on mousemetaphase chromosomesFurther detailed information and the availability of theseprobes with other labels or other combinations are availableon request.
