Whole Chromosome probesThe Poseidon Whole Chromosome probes hybridize to unique sequences spanning the entire length of thetarget chromosome. These probes are derived from flow-sorted or microdissected chromosomes and provide accurate coveragewith excellent signal specificity and high fluorescent intensity. Some minor cross-hybridization may occurat the short arm of acrocentric chromosomes (13, 14, 15, 21 and 22) and in the pseudo-autosomal regions ofchromosome X and Y.The WC probes are used for identifying whole human chromosomes, analysis of translocation events, chromosome rearrangement studies and determining the origin of marker chromosomes. Mutagenesis analysis, radiation and sensitivity testing, and identification of human chromosomes on hybrid cells are investigatedusing these probes.KBI-30013-RWC Dual-ColorWhole Chromosome Probes86KBI-30023-GTechnical information:The WC probes are supplied in a 5 test format together withhybridization buffer, labeled in green (PlatinumBright495),red (PlatinumBright550) or in blue (PlatinumBright415).WC Triple-ColorPoseidon WC probes are provided in concentrated format toallow, mixing of up to 5 WC probes in a single hybridizationassay. Please refer to the Instruction for Use Manual forfurther details.Note:Due to decondensation of chromosomal DNA signals on interphase, cells can be verydiffuse. We therefore recommend not to use WC probes for interphase FISH.
