ON MDS 5q- (5q31; 5q33) / hTERT (5p15) TCThe 5q- specific DNA probe is optimized to detect copynumbers at the CDC25C/EGR1 gene region at 5q31 and theCSF1R/RPS14 gene region at 5q33 simultaneously in a dualcolorassay. The triple-color probe provides in addition to thetwo critical regions a control in blue targeting the hTERT generegion at 5p15.ON MDS 7q- (7q22; 7q35)Loss of a whole chromosome 7 or a deletion of the long arm,del(7q), are recurring abnormalities in malignant myeloiddiseases. Most deletions are interstitial and there are twodistinct deleted segments of 7q. The majority of patients haveproximal breakpoints in bands q11-22 and distal breakpointsin q31-36.
