Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)CLL accounts for about 30% of all leukemias inEurope and the USA. Distinct clonal chromosomalabnormalities can be identified in up to 90% ofCLL cases of the B-cell lineage. By FISH the mostcommon chromosomal changes in CLL and theirfrequencies have been identified as shown in thetable below.ON DLEU (13q14) / 13qterDeletions of chromosome 13q14 have been reported notonly in CLL but in a variety of human tumors, includingother types of lymphoid and myeloid tumors, as well asprostate, head and neck, and non-small cell lung cancers. The deletion of 13q may be limited to a single locus (13q14),or accompanied with the loss of a larger interstitial regionof the long arm of chromosome 13. A minimal critical regionof 400 kb has been described containing the DLEU1, DLEU2and RFP2 genes. The DLEU (13q14) specific DNA probe is optimized to detectcopy numbers of the DLEU gene region at 13q14. The13qter (13q34) region is included to facilitate chromosomeidentification.Del(13q14) 55%Del(11q) 18%Trisomy 12q 16%Del(17p) 7%Cat.# KBI-10102 DLEU (13q14) / 13qterRB1D13S147713q14 RFP2DLEU1D13S272650 KB220 KBDel(6q) 6%13q3413D13S25450 KBTrisomy 8q 5%t(14q32) 4%Trisomy 3q 3%Oncology Probes - Hematology ProbesDLEU (13q14) / 13qter probe hybridized to patient material showinga 13q14 deletion (1R2G).Image kindly provided by Dr. Dastugue, ToulouseLiterature:Wolf et al, 2001, Hum Mol Genet, 10: 1275-1285.Corcoran et al, 1998, Blood, 91: 1382-1390.Ordering information Color Tests Cat#ON DLEU (13q14) / 13qter red/green 10 KBI-1010218
