3224 East Yorba Linda Blvd. #227Fullerton, CA 9283 1714-612-6674May 4,2010Los Angeles County Human Resources500 W. Temple StreetLos Angeles, CA 90012Dear Ms. Ponce:This is a charge of discrimination against DPSS because I am an atheist. All of the problemsregarding disparate treatment, harassment, workplace mobbing, mmors regarding my personallife (expressed by Lorica Yates and Brenda Lewis) and hostile work environment that are raisedin this complaint stem from the fact that I am an atheist.I have been working with DPSS since 312012007. My first complaint and problems with thedistrict actual began in 2007. It was in 2007 I had a visiting trainer from DPSS Academy ask mewhat my 'home churcK was, in front of Administrative Deputy Mrs. Shealy slightly after 7am inmorning whom she was visiting. When I told her I haddt any, her retort was'tvhat are you somekind of atheist?I didn't say anything in return of the comment and just went to my work area inshock of what was said. The atmosphere from the old location to the new location has been such that come to prayannouncements have been said over the loud speaker.10/19/2007 was my first complaint to Mr. Lozano at that time one of the deputies. The eventoccurred 10/18/07. This complaint was against Brenda Lewis and her behavior related to attemptin asking a work related question and her perceived interruption of her personal conversation. Iwas shouted back to my desk by her and the clerk LaTonyaBradley. I included in the letter herstatements regarding her brother'hating gay peoplejlst hating theni'according to her. Thecomments made me feel uncomfortable, she sat directly behind me with no divider and they wereshouted right into my ear, but diddt believe were related to me. Later I realized maybe they hadbeen based off of some'@rceptiod.9/5/2008 Teresa Valedez offered raffles to everyone on the floor and walked right past me.Similar things were done with previous raffle tickets and district T-shirts.12/17/2008 I was screamed at by Clarice Walton downstairs in the interview area because shebelieved that I put a post-it on her computer screen.5/1/2009 I went to Supervisor Carr regarding a question, she curled her lip at me, looked me upand down. 1 explained that that behavior makes me feel uncomfortable asking questions.Additional event took place 5/4/2009.

7/15/2009 Regina Collins made a comment regarding me carrying my purse to the bathroom. Itold her don't wony about my bag or purse, after which she entered my cubicle pointing herfinger in my face and left calling me"crazqt:11/24/2009 There was a Thanksgiving potluck that was chiefly organized by Blanca Gomez. Herstatements to me were that, though it was time for things to start, eating could not take placewithout having prayer first. She repeated the statements several times as other employeesincluding the deputies were entering. If I attempted to obtain any items, lids were closed on meexcept my own. As everyone filed in and gathered in the circle to pray I stepped out. When Ireentered the room, the door was pushed closed on me as I opened it by Louisa Barreto.12/7/2009 I had brought to the clerk Marvia Beatty's attention that a Qr7 needed to be rescannedbecause it was not scanned properly. She told me to go get it out of the box. I explained that itwas her mistake and she is responsible for putting the QR7s in the box, she should retrieve it.She didn't want to and went to the supervisor Carr who wrote me stating that I was to go to thebox pull the Qr7 and provide it to the clerk. Compliant discussed with Deputy Thomton andSEIU.12/24/2009 and 4/7/10 1 noticed that more of my training materials related to income andinconsequential personal items such as lunch schedule were missing from my desk area.lllU2010 Received two case from Carr stating they were incomplete. Both conformed to policy.1/14/2010 Had meeting with Mrs. Thomton regarding issue of disparate treatment of QR7s andpresented QR7s that Carr and others were not held to same standard &d were not policyappropriate.4/7/2010 Found a case comment by Lorica Yates dated 3/29/10 stating that I refused to assist herregarding a QR7. It was an event that never took place and was reviewed and authorized by Carrwithout ever having presenting the issue to me. I spoke with Director Robinson and Thomtonregarding case comment and explained that no documentation was ever provided to me to attachto the QR7. I presented Mr. Robinson a previous occmence suggesting that such exceptionsregarding income and handling of cases that are not hers may be due to the fact that she knowsthe participant.4/13/2010 Received yet another complaint from ES Carr stating that she would not authorize acase when using the'%=-to-datd'to calculate missing check stub. It is part of DPSS training thatthis can be done, it has been done and authorized by her for me as well as others.4/16/2010 For the second time I had the door shut on me after propping open to make a privatecall in the stair area. Having the door shut on you essentially locked in the stair area. The firsttime I propped door open with my shoe and actually caught door before they shut it. My shoewas removed to the interior of the building. If I hadn't of caught door than I would have beenhobbling around on with one shoe to the outside to reenter the building if no one opened the doorafter knocking on it.

4/27/2010 I was coming down from the forth floor elevator area which stopped on the 2nd floor.Cam saw me in the elevator, grunted something audible from seeing me and refused to get onelevator.I am not too familiar with the actual writing of charges, but the complaint should read more likethis. If it requires a more professional structure, please make any adaptations required.incerely,
