Subsequently served with <strong>the</strong> 72nd in <strong>the</strong> advance by <strong>the</strong>Kurum Valley under General Sir Frederick Roberts, V.C., and waspresent at <strong>the</strong> battle <strong>of</strong> Charasiah, in <strong>the</strong> Afghan War <strong>of</strong> 1878-79.Died at Chelsea Hospital while holding <strong>the</strong> appointment <strong>of</strong> Captain <strong>of</strong>Invalids, June, 1890. A tablet to his memory was erected at Chelseahis bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 72nd and <strong>91st</strong>.Hospital byTottenham, Arthur Ely H. Sub-lieutenant and lieutenant,1st February, 1873. Served in <strong>the</strong> Zulu War <strong>of</strong> 1879 ;was present at<strong>the</strong> battle <strong>of</strong> Ginginhlovo and relief <strong>of</strong> Ekowe (medal with clasp). Wasinvalided home shortly afterwards.Traill, William. Assistant-surgeon,1861. Served in Indiawith <strong>the</strong> regiment. Died, 1871.Trimmer, William. Ensign, 18th November, 1813. Servedwith <strong>the</strong> regiment during <strong>the</strong> latter part <strong>of</strong> its second visit to <strong>the</strong>Peninsula. Was present at Waterloo.
