Captain, 14th December, 1855. Retired, 1858.King, Fielder. From 84th Foot. Major, 2nd March, 1796.Served with <strong>the</strong> regiment at <strong>the</strong> Cape <strong>of</strong> Good Hope, being incommand part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> time. To Cape Regiment, 1801.King, Thomas Eraser. Ensign, 14th September, 1870; lieutenant,1st November, 1871. To 49th Foot, 1872. Served subsequentlywith <strong>the</strong> 49th in Egypt.Kirk, James Buchanan. From <strong>the</strong> 89th Foot as major to <strong>the</strong><strong>91st</strong>, 29th January, 1870. Was appointed to command <strong>the</strong> <strong>91st</strong> inJanuary, 1876. Was unable to proceed with <strong>the</strong> regiment to <strong>the</strong> ZuluWar, in 1879, owing to a tumour having formed in his right foot, from<strong>the</strong> effects <strong>of</strong> which he subsequently died. Was placed on half-payand appointed to <strong>the</strong> Intelligence Department, 21st June, 1879. Died,1880.Knox, Robert Spencer. Ensign, 16th May, 1808 ; lieutenant,2nd January, 1812. To half-pay,1830.Lament, Norman, K.H., P.W. Ensign, 26th August, 1813 ;lieutenant, 3rd September, 1818 ; <strong>ca</strong>ptain, 7th April, 1825 ; major,2nd December, 1831. Served in <strong>the</strong> Peninsular <strong>ca</strong>mpaign <strong>of</strong> 1813-14 ;present at <strong>the</strong> Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, Or<strong>the</strong>s, Toulouse, Waterloo,storming <strong>of</strong> Cambray, and <strong>ca</strong>pture <strong>of</strong> Paris.
