A. Second lieutenant, 22nd February, 1879.Served with the regiment during the latter part of the Zulu War.Died in Edinburgh, 1883. A tablet was erected to his memory by hisbrother officers in Stirling Church.Divir, John Hawkins. Surgeon, 1830. Retired, 1840.Dobie, James Henry. Ensign, 21st September, 1852 ;lieutenant,5th September, 1854. Served in Malta, Greece, and IonianIslands, with the regiment. Retired, llth December, 1857.Douglas, Sir William, K.C.B. From the 2nd battalion84th Foot. Captain, 27th of June, 1798. In 1804 he was one of thefour officers selected to raise a certain number of men for the regiment,for which service he was promoted lieutenant-colonel, 2nd August,1804. Commanded the 91st from 1808 to the day of his death. Waspresent at the actions of Roleia and Corunna (medal). Served in theill-fated Walcheren Expedition in 1809, where he contracted the feverwhich the British troops suffered so much from, and from the effectsof which he never recovered. Was present at the actions of Pyrenees,WasNivelle, Nive, Orthes (wounded), Toulouse (wounded slightly).in the reserve with the 91st at Waterloo, and in the march to Paris.Promoted colonel in army, 4th June, 1814. Received gold medal, andmade a Knight Companion of the Bath. Died at Valenciennes, 23rdAugust, 1818, where he was buried.Douglas, Robert. Assistant-surgeon, 1803 ; surgeon, 1805.Was present at Waterloo. To half-pay, 1821.Ducat, Dugald, P."W. Ensign, 24th February, 1814 ; lieutenant,5th May, 1822 ; captain, 4th August, 1828 ; major, 2nd July, 1841.Served in the Peninsular War from August, 1813, to its close ;waspresent at the battles of Nivelle, Nive, Orthes, and Toulouse. Presentat Waterloo and the storming of Cambray. Served in South Africawith the 1st battalion in 1842, until October of that year, when heassumed command of the reserve battalion. Died at Colesberg, SouthAfrica, in 18 i4.
