From 13th Foot, with which hehad served throughout the whole of the Burmese War, including thecapture of Rangoon (wounded, 1st December, 1824), and also at thestorming of the stockade of Kokaign, 15th December, 1825. Joinedthe 91st, 12th August, 1834. Commanded the three companies leftat St. Helena in 1839, when the rest of the regiment proceeded to theCape of Good Hope, until 1842, when they rejoined head-quartersRetired, 1843. Died at Bath, 22nd December, 1845.Blagg, James. Ensign, 10th November, 1854 ; lieutenant, 27thNovember, 1857. Served with the regiment in Greece and IonianIslands. Died at sea, 14th December, 1858.Blair, Thomas Hunter. Lieutenant, 14th September, 1804 ;captain, 28th March, 1805 ; major, 8th January, 1818. Served with theregiment at Roleia, Vimiero, Corunna, and was left behind in Portugalin 1808 when the regiment returned to England ; present at the battleof Talavera as major of brigade, when he was severely wounded andmade prisoner ;was not released until 1814. Present at Waterloo asmajor of brigade, when he was again wounded, and received a brevetof lieutenant-colonel for his "meritorious conduct." To the 87thFoot, 1st April, 1819. 21
