In March a draft consisting <strong>of</strong> Captain Middlemore,Ensign Pickwick, two sergeants, and 100rank and file, left for <strong>the</strong> Cape <strong>of</strong> Good Hope, tojoin<strong>the</strong> reserve battalion.Lieutenant Mackenzieleft for <strong>the</strong> same place with a small draft in June.The regiment was moved to Manchester for ashort time, previous to <strong>the</strong> embarking at Fleetwoodfor Ireland, in July.
