There is also a picture of the regimentformed in line in the square of James Town, withthe procession passing between the ranks.In March, 1875,the Director of the Mint inParis addressed a letter to Major Battiscombe, atthattime in command of the 91st, of which thefollowingis a translation :"I hasten to inform you that the Director ofthe Mint ishappy to place at your disposal aspecimen, in bronze, of the medal which hedesires to be offered to the officers of the 91stRegiment, in remembrance of the memorable eventwhich it commemorates, and in which the regi-
