His o<strong>the</strong>r wish was also fulfillednineteen years later, when his countryreclaimed his body,and it was at its disintermentthat <strong>the</strong> <strong>91st</strong> assisted.The French Government having requested that<strong>the</strong> remains should be moved to France, a squadron,commanded by H.R.H. <strong>the</strong> Prince de Joinville,consisting <strong>of</strong> La Belle Poule, frigate, and twocorvettes, La Favorite and UOreste, were despatchedto <strong>the</strong> island, where <strong>the</strong>y arrived on <strong>the</strong>8th <strong>of</strong> October.The arrangements for <strong>the</strong> disinterment wereentrusted to <strong>the</strong> Count de Charbot on <strong>the</strong> part<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> French, and Captain Alexander, C.R.E., on<strong>the</strong> part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> English.It was determined to commence at 12 o'clockon <strong>the</strong> night <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>14th, which was <strong>the</strong> twentyfifthanniversary <strong>of</strong> Napoleon'sarrival at St.Helena.
