<strong>New</strong>s for Immedi<strong>at</strong>e ReleaseDec. 19, 2012<strong>DCNR</strong> <strong>Appoints</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>Tobyhanna</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Complex</strong>Harrisburg - The Department of Conserv<strong>at</strong>ion and N<strong>at</strong>ural Resources has namedJennifer Naugle manager of <strong>Tobyhanna</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> complex, an area encompassingthree st<strong>at</strong>e parks and more than 9,500 acres of land in Monroe and Waynecounties.“Jennifer honed her administr<strong>at</strong>ive and public rel<strong>at</strong>ions skills in recent assignments<strong>at</strong> one of our more heavily visited st<strong>at</strong>e parks and <strong>at</strong> the Bureau of St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong>s’Harrisburg headquarters,” said <strong>DCNR</strong> Secretary Richard Allan. “Her professionalismand enthusiasm can only enhance the public’s experience <strong>at</strong> the three parks she willnow oversee.”The <strong>Tobyhanna</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> complex includes <strong>Tobyhanna</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> and <strong>Tobyhanna</strong>Lake; Gouldsboro St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> and Gouldsboro Lake; and Big Pocono St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong>,which includes a portion of the downhill ski slopes of Camelback Mountain, wherefacilities are managed by Camelback Mountain Resort.“I am excited to be joining the park staff of <strong>Tobyhanna</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> complex andworking in an area I know well, having kayaked and hiked many summer daysthere over the years,” said Naugle. “The staff is welcoming me warmly, and I lookforward to working with the team to keep the complex running smoothly.”The new complex manager began her career with the Bureau of St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong>s in 1998as a seasonal environmental educ<strong>at</strong>ion specialist <strong>at</strong> Promised Land St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong>, PikeCounty. She l<strong>at</strong>er was assigned to the bureau’s Harrisburg headquarters, working inthe program services section. She was most recently employed <strong>at</strong> Carbon County’sHickory Run St<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Complex</strong>, where she was assistant manager since 2010.Naugle is a n<strong>at</strong>ive of Palmer Township, Northampton County, and succeeds WilliamFriese, who recently retired.
