503 Deduction From Animation Writer’s Fees – Retirement PlanThe Producer shall deduct for retirement purposes, from the Gross Feesearned by each Animation Writer and Animation Story Editor three percent(3%) of such Gross Fees.504 Deduction from Animation Writer’s Fees – Guild DuesThe Producer shall deduct two percent (2%) of the Gross Fees paid to anyAnimation Writer or Animation Story Editor who is a member of the Guildand shall deduct five percent (5%) of the Gross Fees paid to any AnimationWriter or Animation Story Editor who is not a member of the Guild.505 Non-members Equalization Payments & Deductionsa) In order to equalize the payments and deductions in respect of Guildmembers and non-members, the Producer shall contribute an amountequal to eleven percent (11%) of the Gross Fees paid to eachAnimation Writer or Animation Story Editor who is not a member ofthe Guild. As of January 1, 2013, this contribution shall be increased totwelve percent (12%) on Script Fees only. As of January 1, 2014, theincrease to twelve percent (12%) shall apply to all remaining fees underthis Animation Section. For clarity, the contribution on Script Feesshall remain at twelve percent (12%) in 2014.b) the equalization payments and deductions made in respect of nonmembersmay be used and applied by the Guild and the agent or brokermutually agreed upon by the parties to this Animation Section fordisposition in such manner and for such purposes as may be determinedin the absolute and unfettered discretion of the Guild and the brokermutually agreed upon by the parties to this Animation Section.506 All contributions and Animation Writer deductions for the Insurance andRetirement plan, made pursuant to this Article shall be made payable to theagent or broker mutually agreed upon by the parties to this Section.Deductions from Animation Writer’s Fees for Guild Dues shall be madepayable to the Guild. All payments shall be sent to the Guild office, andshall be payable monthly on or before the 15 th of the month following theearning of such fees.507 All deductions required by this Article will be remitted with information onthe Animation Writer and Animation Story Editor, the contract, the services130
