D106Where a Writer originates in Script Material a sub-plot for any program orSeries or Serial or a character who subsequently appears on any programor Series, the payments and credits the writer shall receive for any usemade of such sub-plot or character other than in a Script written byhim/herself shall be subject to individual negotiations between the Writerand the Producer. Such negotiations for the use of the character(s) or subplotshall take place at the time of original contracting of the Writer, or ata time prior to the commissioning of Script(s) from other Writers. Suchpayments shall in no case be less than fifteen percent (15%) of theWriter’s original Script Fee, that original Script Fee being understood tobe the fee for the complete Script, stage or revisions contracted for,whichever is applicable.ARTICLE D2 – MINIMUM COMPENSATIONScript Fees and Production Fees for productions with Budgets of sixty thousanddollars ($60,000) or less are negotiable between the Writer and Producer.D201The minimum compensation to be paid a Writer for preparing a Script inthe category of Other Production shall be as follows:Script Fees 2012 2013 201415 minutes or less 1,806 1,842 1,86130 minutes or less 3,610 3,682 3,71960 minutes or less 7,221 7,365 7,43990 minutes or less 10,632 10,844 10,953120 minutes or less 14,417 14,705 14,852Over 120 minutes calculated on the length of the program and basedon the 30 minute rateD202The minimum compensation to be paid a Writer for preparing a writtenNarration for productions in this category shall not be less than fiftypercent (50%) of the fees provided in D201.107
