c) evidence, satisfactory to the Guild that the Production has beenapproved by Telefilm Canada and the competent foreignauthorities as an Official Treaty Co-Production.g) If the Associations negotiate a definition of Distributors’ GrossRevenue (or the equivalent) which in some or all aspects is superior tothe definition in this Article, with any other trade union or associationthat bargains collectively on behalf of its members, the definitionhereunder shall be amended to reflect the improvement.ARTICLE C12 – TRAVEL EXPENSES, PAID TRAVEL TIME, ANDRISK INSURANCEC1201 When the Producer requires a Writer, Story Editor or Story Consultant totravel more than forty (40) kilometers from the Writer’s, Story Editor’s orStory Consultant’s home, then if transportation, accommodation and mealsare not provided by the Producer, the Writer, Story Editor or StoryConsultant shall be paid:i) Actual transportation expenses on scheduled carriers coveringeconomy air or first class rail fare.ii)An allowance of thirty cents (30¢) per kilometer if the Writer, StoryEditor or Story Consultant is required to use his/her automobile.Where a Writer, Story Editor or Story Consultant rents or leases anautomobile at the direction of the Producer, the Producer shall pay allcosts of renting or leasing.iii) All taxis, limousines or other transportation costs which the Writer,Story Editor or Story Consultant is required to pay.iv)A per diem rate of one hundred and ninety-five dollars ($195.00) tocover all expenses when staying in a hotel, motel or similaraccommodation in Canada. However, if certain meals or livingaccommodation are provided at the expense of the Producer, the perdiem rate shall be reduced in the following manner:Breakfast $15.00Lunch $25.00104
