ARTICLE C9 – TELEVISION CONTINUITYWriters of Television Continuity shall be paid at least the following minimumScript Fees:Script Fees and Production Fees for productions with Budgets of sixty thousanddollars ($60,000) or less are negotiable between the Writer and Producer.C901 Continuity – Script Fees2012 2013 2014Minimum two (2) minutes Script 303 309 312Each additional minute of Script 41 42 42Note: Continuity Writing does not attract Distribution Royalties but ratherResiduals.C902C903Distribution Rights – ContinuityThe payment of at least the minimum compensation under C901 shallentitle the Producer to one run on conventional (Free) Television inCanada and the right to acquire further use as provided in this Agreement.Residuals to Continuity Writer(s)The following Residual payments shall be made to Continuity Writer(s)upon second and subsequent use on conventional (Free) Television and onany sale to pay television, cable television, cassettes, videodiscs and anyother form of compact device, domestic and foreign use:1) Domestic Re-Runs – Each repeat broadcast in Canada on conventional(Free) Television – fifty percent (50%) of the original Script Fee2) When a television program is subsequently sold by the Producer forbroadcast in another country on conventional (Free) Television, theWriter shall be paid Residual fees as follows:a) United States – national commercial network:First Run – one hundred percent (100%) of the Script FeeSecond Run – fifty percent (50%) of the Script FeeThird and subsequent runs – each run – forty percent (40%) of theoriginal Script FeeEach individual station – ten percent (10%) of the original Script Fee94
