PY - Special call PSA088 (Papa Sierra Alpha Zero Eight Eight) is<br />

expected to be aired from Tacami Island (SA-088, DIB 077) between<br />

12 UTC on 14 June and 12 UTC on the 17th. QSL via PP5LL. [TNX<br />

T5 - Baldur/DJ6SI and Tom/DL1QW are currently active as T5X and T5W from<br />

Somalia - length of stay not known, but according to The Daily <strong>DX</strong><br />

"rumor has it they will be QRV until June 21". Baldur operates CW<br />

while Tom operates CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via home calls.<br />

TA - The operation from Kefken Island (AS-???) is confirmed to take<br />

place on 23-25 June [<strong>425</strong><strong>DX</strong>N 527]. The team on the island will have<br />

one tribander, one monobander for 10 metres and three dipoles. Look<br />

for YM0KI to be QRV on different bands (20, 15, 10m) and modes<br />

(SSB, CW and SSTV depending on propagation) at the same time. The<br />

operation is organized by TA2KI (http://www.ta2ki.org/), the<br />

Turkish Radio Amateur Club branch in the town of Kocaeli. [TNX<br />

UA - Valery, RW4HW reports that special station UE4HDI will be active<br />

from Dalnaya Dubrava Island (RR-26-02) on 15-17 June. QSL via<br />

RW4HW.<br />

W - Brad, W1RQ will operate (on 10-40 metres SSB) from Martha's<br />

Vineyard (NA-046) between 23 June and 14 July. [TNX The Daily <strong>DX</strong>]<br />

CARIBBEAN TOUR ---> Bill, W4WX reports he will be operating as VP2MHX from<br />

Montserrat (NA-103) on 19-22 June and as V2/W4WX from Antigua (NA-100) on<br />

23-26 June. He will be active on RTTY and some SSB to include WARC bands. QSL<br />

via home call.<br />

4Z8 ---> Guenter, OE1GZA/DH2GZ (aka E4/OE1GZA and VR2GZ) reports that the new<br />

prefix 4Z8 has been issued since April for foreign amateurs living and<br />

working in Israel for more than one year (details at<br />

http://hamradio.iarc.org/cept/4Z8CalSign.htm). Currently there two stations<br />

active, namely Marc, 4Z8BB (WC1X, QSL via home call) and Guenter himself,<br />

4Z8GZ (QSL via DH2GZ).<br />

IOTA 2000 ---> 232 applications for the RSGB IOTA Millennium Programme (IOTA<br />

2000) certificates have been processed so far. The winners, by category, are<br />

shown on the Chiltern <strong>DX</strong> Club web pages at http://www.cdxc.org.uk. The<br />

closing date for IOTA 2000 applications is 31 December <strong>2001</strong>. [TNX G3NUG]<br />

PIRATE ---> Vittorio, I8DVJ reports that someone is pirating his call for<br />

spotting P5, VU4, etc. on the <strong>DX</strong> Clusters. He asks to refrain from sending<br />

angry e-mails to him, as he does not know who the offender is.<br />

QSL EU-188 ---> All of the direct requests received for UE1RCV/1 have been<br />

processed and cards were mailed on 12 June. [TNX UA1QV]<br />

QSL FO ---> Peter, DL3APO reports that direct requests for FO/DL5XU (OC-066,<br />

French Polynesia) and FO/DL1AWI (OC-027, Marquesas) are being processed right<br />

now. Those attending the Ham Fest at Friedrichshafen (29 June-1 July) will be<br />

able to collect their cards over there.<br />

QSL YC5XIP ---> Fulvio, I1WFF reports he is no longer the QSL manager for<br />

Syafri, YC5XIP and cards received for contacts made in <strong>2001</strong> will be returned
