They were also interested inbuying my car. I could not be convincedto sell my bug. As usual, peoplehad stories to tell of the bugs theyhad owned. I passed out the newslettersthat I had.It was certainly a fun way tospend a Saturday afternoon and to letpeople know about the club and thecar show. One catch for this yearsevent (there is always a catch, isntthere?!), is a $5.00 fee for antiquecars. I think the horses should have topay at least that much, for all of those “deposits” they leave along theparade route!None the less, it is a wonderfull gathering, and great exposurefor our club and Volksfest. If that isnt enough fun, we all gatherat Greaters Ice Cream afterwards for some much needed cool refesehment.Be there!We will meet at the bowling alley parking lot which is justnorth of Der Dutchman in Plain City. From there we willcaravan west on St. Rt. 161 to the first of 7 covered bridgeswe will visit in Union County. They follow along the creekgoing northwest after visiting the first six we will then caravanto the last one in the eastern area of the county.We willthen go to the Davis's farm for cookout and then weatherpermitting 2 or 3 of the members will get a balloon ride.editor with the August edition. MarioCuniberti brought his 1932 Franklin to the meeting. Thegroup enjoyed looking at the car and hearing Mario talkabout classic cars built from 1925 to 1940.COVVC members headed for a North Coast Get Awayon June 15th thru June 17th. <strong>Club</strong> member Suzanne Hartleyof Huron, <strong>Ohio</strong> welcomed us to a week-end of bird watching,camping, canoeing, wine tasting, a tour of O.W.C.Estuary, fishing, swimminng, and a cruise-in to the DairyQueen! The Grangers' hosted a chicken wing and wine tastingparty on Friday evening.June ended with the second annual <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Vintage</strong><strong>Volkswagen</strong> <strong>Club</strong> Night the National Trails Raceway on June29th.
