Dear <strong>Minister</strong>,Vedanta Aluminium is planning a six-fold expansion <strong>of</strong> its refinery inLanjigarh, Orissa. As a result, some 800 families, largely Majhi Kondhadivasis, will lose their land and face further threats <strong>to</strong> their rights<strong>to</strong> water and health. Official reports have documented water and airpollution caused by the refinery.
