Kenneth Griffin is Founder and CEO of Citadel Investment Group LLC, which includes Citadel Securities, Omnium
and a division that executes alternative investment strategies across asset classes. Citadel operates in the world’s
major financial centers, including Chicago, London, New York, Hong Kong and San Francisco. Griffin actively supports
educational causes that drive community improvement. He is vice chairman of the Chicago Public Education Fund and
a member of the boards of trustees for the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Additionally,
Griffin is a member of the World Economic Forum and the Economic Club of Chicago. He received a bachelor’s degree
from Harvard College.
James Guidera is a Managing Director at Crédit Agricole Americas. He is also Group Head for Natural Resources,
Infrastructure and Power in North America and Regional Head of Project Finance Activities in North America. Crédit
Agricole’s New York team is one of the foremost agent banks for syndicated project financings, ranked No. 1 in the
arranger-bank league tables for the region in 2009. Guidera came to Crédit Agricole in 2003, when it acquired Credit
Lyonnais, which he joined in 1992 as a senior transaction officer. At Credit Lyonnais, he led numerous syndicated
project finance transactions focused in the energy sector prior to his promotion to group head in 1999. With more
than 30 years of banking experience, Guidera was previously a senior banker in the project finance and energy groups
of KOP bank and Bank of Boston. Before his banking career, Guidera practiced law in Philadelphia, and has a J.D. from
Villanova University.
Kevin Guitterrez is Deputy Superintendent of the Louisiana Recovery School District, where he supports
curriculum and innovation initiatives. He formerly served as the chief academic officer of the Algiers Charter Schools
Association, where he supported implementation of the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) as well as other
major educational and development initiatives. He previously worked for the Louisiana Department of Education’s
Distinguished Educator program and was an administrator and teacher in St. Charles Parish Public Schools. Guitterrez
also serves on the Louisiana Department of Education’s Accountability Commission, the Louisiana Department of
Education’s Blue Ribbon Committee for Teacher Quality and the New Orleans United Way School to Career Advisory
Committee. Guitterrez holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of New Orleans and is a
doctoral student at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Peter Gunnerman is a Partner and Director of Advanced Refining Concepts LLC. He has spent the majority of
his career in senior management positions at several private and public alternative fuel and fuel-related companies,
including president of SulphCo Inc., which is in the business of upgrading crude oil. Currently, Gunnerman owns
and operates Global 6 LLC, a privately held energy consulting company. He has served on the boards of Clean Fuels
Technology Inc., based in Reno, Nev.; Advanced Fuels LLC, a joint venture company between Clean Fuels LLC and
Caterpillar Inc., based in Peoria, Ill.; and Fujairah Oil Technology Ltd., based in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. Gunnerman
also sits on the board of the Reno Tahoe chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
Naren Gupta is Co-Founder of Nexus Venture Partners. Previously he co-founded Integrated Systems Inc. (ISI), an
embedded software company, where he was president and CEO for 15 years. He took ISI public and subsequently
merged it with Wind River Systems, where he served on the board until its recent acquisition by Intel. An active advisor
to entrepreneurs worldwide, he also serves on the boards of Red Hat and Tibco. Gupta has over 20 years’ experience
in early and early-growth stage investment in the U.S. and India. A fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
Engineers, he holds a B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, an M.S. from the California
Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
