Country Championships 2010
The Scottish Primary Schools’ Cross
Country Championship was held in
Kirkcaldy in late April. Over 1200
athletes took part, with over 120
participants in each race. St Columba’s
pupils have trained extremely hard
throughout the season and were
rewarded with their best-ever results at
this prestigious event.
Individual medals were won in the Junior
6 race, with Laura Stark winning Silver
and Iona Miller Bronze. The J6 girls’ team
The Junior 6 boys’ team achieved 7th
place in the team event, with Josh
manufacturer Birel Spa, this would give him the opportunity
to test-drive a KF3 kart (contested internationally) with the
possibility of being selected for the Birel works team. As
well as competing at Cadet level this year, Tom is currently
practising in a Junior kart to maximise his chances of
progressing with Easykart / Birel next season. Keep up-to-date
