Part Time Youth Workers’ Training <strong>Opportunities</strong>As a Youth Service, staff development <strong>and</strong> training is an important part of our work toensure we are creating quality experiences for the young people we work with.Part TimeYouth Workers’ ConferenceThe annual Conference provides an opportunity for part-time youth workers<strong>and</strong> volunteers to <strong>com</strong>e together <strong>and</strong> engage in shared learning in a relaxed<strong>and</strong> friendly atmosphere.This year’s conference focuses on providing a range of workshops for you totake part in including:- Dealing with conflict, anger <strong>and</strong> aggression- Leadership in the outdoors- Circus Skills for personal <strong>and</strong> social development- STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections)- Alcohol <strong>and</strong> Young People- ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)(Please note, these workshops are dependant upon facilitators being available)This day will also incorporate a presentation on the VRQ qualification.More information will be sent out to all part time workers nearer to thedate of the conference.Date: Saturday 8th March 2008Venue: TBCTimes: 10am – 4pm8
