egulated by the appropriate rulings <strong>of</strong> the Government under whom the<strong>of</strong>ficer is serving for the time-being.(h) A member <strong>of</strong> the service shall be entitled to Leave Travel Concessionunder the AIS (Leave Travel Concession) Rules, 1975. Under these rules,Leave Travel Concession shall be regulated by the appropriate rules <strong>of</strong> theGovernment under whom the <strong>of</strong>ficer is serving for the time being but shallnot be less than the entitlement under the Central Government Rules.(i) A member <strong>of</strong> the service when working under the Central Government shallbe entitled to draw House Rent Allowances as admissible to <strong>of</strong>ficers theCentral Civil <strong>Service</strong>s Group ‗A‘ and while working under the StateGovernment House Rent Allowances will be admissible in the samemanner as for the <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> the State Civil <strong>Service</strong>s Class-I. Whileworking under the State Government, the House Rent Allowance shall notbe less than what the <strong>of</strong>ficer would draw had he been appointed to serveunder the Central Government, at the same station.(j) A member <strong>of</strong> the service will be required to subscribe monthly towards theprovident fund, under rule 6 <strong>of</strong> the AIS (Provident Fund) Rules 1955amended from the time to time. According to the existing provisions inthese rules, you will be required to contribute a minimum <strong>of</strong> 6 percent <strong>of</strong>your emoluments subject to the condition that it does not exceed youremoluments.III, ALLOCATION:-Under the rules <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Service</strong> you will be allocated to the State/Joint Cadres <strong>of</strong>the <strong>IFS</strong> and will mostly be required to serve under the concerned StateGovernment. The name <strong>of</strong> the cadre to which you shall be allocated will becommunicated to you later. The Government, however, retains the right torequire you to serve anywhere in India or abroad; whether under the CentralGovernment, any State Government or Public Enterprise or a local bodysubstantially owned or controlled by the Central or a State Government.IV. PROBATIONThe member <strong>of</strong> the service will be on probation for a period <strong>of</strong> two years fromthe date <strong>of</strong> joining. The member <strong>of</strong> the service will also be required to attendthe Foundation Course. The award <strong>of</strong> IGNFA Diploma [equivalent to M.Sc.(<strong>Forest</strong>ry)] will be conferred only after completion <strong>of</strong> the prescribed training asabove. The Central Government may, however, extend the period <strong>of</strong>probation further. Failure to pass the prescribed examinations, or to completethe period <strong>of</strong> probation to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the Central Government will, onthe other hand, render you liable to discharge from the service as prescribed inthe rules and only if you are already in Government service to reversion toyour substantive post, if any, under the Central or State Government on whichyou may be holding a lien.
