Generic forms can be found on the IHSMAwebsite: www.ihsma.org. <strong>The</strong>se may be duplicated in any quantity desired.INCLEMENT WEATHER<strong>The</strong> IHSMA Office will make its best attempt to re-schedule festival programs that fall victim toinclement weather. It must be realized, however, that school calendars could create asituation in which cancellation is the only alternative. If a site operates, it becomes theresponsibility of the registered school to be in attendance. <strong>No</strong> make-up festivals will bearranged, nor will entry fees be refunded, for those schools that elect not to attend. Festivalmanagers are directed to initially postpone the festival program for an hour or so beforecanceling entirely on a particular date.ALL-STATE MUSIC CAMP GUIDELINESAny person/agency/institution hosting an All-State MusicCamp within the State of <strong>Iowa</strong> must comply with the followingcriteria, which have been developed to insure a consistent,equal opportunity for camp operators/sponsors andparticipating students:1) Any All-State Music Camp desiring to function within thestate of <strong>Iowa</strong> must obtain the annual written approval of theIHSMA office prior to sending out any notification toschools.2) Copies of any promotional material related to the camp(fliers, brochures, letters, etc.) must accompany the campswritten request for approval.3) <strong>No</strong> All-State Music camp may begin operations prior toAugust 1.4) Camps are encouraged to rehearse only with the suppliedmaterials; i.e., pronunciations, rehearsal directions, etc.,provided with the music/Association bulletin. Telephonecalls should not be directed to the All-State Chair, All-StateConductor or the Executive Director of the IHSMA.5) Camp fees cannot include the purchase of the employedmusic. Obtaining the All-State music remains theresponsibility of the member school.10
