viiThe development <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Science</strong> <strong>Framework</strong>involved the effort, dedication, and expertise<strong>of</strong> many individuals. The original draft <strong>of</strong>the framework was prepared between October1998 and December 2000 by the <strong>Science</strong> Curriculum<strong>Framework</strong> and Criteria Committee(CFCC), a diverse group that included teachersand school administrators, university faculty,representatives <strong>of</strong> the business community, andparents (guardians) <strong>of</strong> students in publicschools.
