®POST-MOUNT SPOTLIGHTSInstallationThe 340 series UNITY®HID spotlights can be installed asretro-fit upgrades to existing UNITY® THE BEAM® postmountspotlights or as new installations. Newinstallations require installation kits. Custom fitapplications are also available in UNITY®HID models.The hi-voltage ballast (the black box on the firewall onthe left in the illustration shown below) mounts easilyunder the hood on the firewall or inner fender. On retrofitunits, simply remove the existing head and shaft,leaving the interior handle wired, and install the newhead and shaft through the existing shaft hole using thesame mounting bracket. Reattach the handle, mount theballast under the hood, and you’re ready to experience600,000 candlepower of white light.OperationUNITY®HID spotlights come with an interior controlhandle providing instant, aimable light. They provide340° of horizontal rotation and up to 120° of verticaladjustment so you are able to position the light whereyou need it.LifeUNITY®HID bulbs are rated at 5,000 hours lamp life whilemost popular halogen spotlight bulbs are rated at 100hours. The attractive heavy-duty chrome housingprovides outstanding corrosion protection.
