Deuteronomy 4:2525After you have had children and grandchildren andhave lived in the land a long time—if you then becomecorrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in theeyes of the LORD your God and provoking him toanger,26 I call heaven and earth as witnessesagainst you this day that you will quickly perishfrom the land that you are crossing the Jordan topossess.
