to<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Protocol to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> African Charter<strong>on</strong> Human and Peoples’ Rights <strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>Establishment <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> an African Court <strong>on</strong>Human and Peoples’ Rights.“African Court” refers to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> AfricanCourt <strong>on</strong> Human and Peoples’Rights.“Amendment to a proposedmoti<strong>on</strong>” is an additi<strong>on</strong> to, deleti<strong>on</strong>from or revisi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> part <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> thatmoti<strong>on</strong>.“Assembly” refers to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Assembly<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Heads <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> State and Government AfricanCommissi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> Human and Peoples’Rights.“Child Rights Committee” refers to<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> African Committee <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Experts <strong>on</strong><str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Rights and Welfare <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Child.“Commissi<strong>on</strong>er” refers to a member<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> African Commissi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> Humanand Peoples’ Rights.“Day” shall be understood to be anatural day.“Executive Council” refers to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>Executive Council <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> AfricanUni<strong>on</strong>.“Member State” refers to a MemberState <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> African Uni<strong>on</strong>.“Secretary” refers to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Secretaryto <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> African Commissi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> Humanand Peoples’ Rights.“Serious or massive violati<strong>on</strong>s”refers to grave human rightsviolati<strong>on</strong>s as distinguished by <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>irPreliminary
