Part TwoPROMOTION ACTIVITIESCHAPTER I GENERAL PROVISIONSRule 69 Program <strong>of</strong> promotion activitiesThe Commission shall adopt andcarry out a program <strong>of</strong> promotionactivities to give effect to itsmandate under <strong>the</strong> African Charter,in accordance with Article 45(1).Rule 70 Promotion missions1.2.3.The Commission shall carry outpromotion missions, to StatesParties.Promotion missions shall begoverned by <strong>the</strong> Commission’sGuidelines for Missions as well as<strong>the</strong> Format for Pre-mission Reports.For each promotion mission, <strong>the</strong>Commission shall develop terms <strong>of</strong>reference bearing in mind <strong>the</strong> humanrights situation in <strong>the</strong> country.3.Where <strong>the</strong> Commission receivesan invitation to participate in anypromotion activity, <strong>the</strong> Secretaryshall inform <strong>the</strong> Bureau immediately,and <strong>the</strong> latter shall decide on <strong>the</strong>course <strong>of</strong> action.Rule 72 Activity Reports <strong>of</strong> CommissionersAt each Ordinary Session, eachmember <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Commission shallsubmit a written report <strong>of</strong> his orher promotion activities undertakenduring <strong>the</strong> inter-session.Rule 71 O<strong>the</strong>r promotion activities1.2.The Commission shall undertakepromotion activities o<strong>the</strong>r thanpromotion missions, includingseminars, conferences, symposiaetc.These activities shall be undertakenei<strong>the</strong>r on its own or in collaborationwith partners.Part Two : Promotion Activities25
