In my experience, only two things are certain in allthese discussions: they are boring and they are futile.You don’t need to engage in them to <strong>design</strong> a stunninguser experience. Most probably you even shouldn’t.The best <strong>design</strong>ers (judging by the results!) that I knoware not bothered by the above-mentioned battles.They are agnostics on the subject of which <strong>design</strong>technique is the holy grail of <strong>design</strong>. The best <strong>design</strong>ersI know are strategists. They thoughtfully choosethe best <strong>design</strong> techniques <strong>for</strong> each of their projects.Because they’re very serious about creating an amazingexperience <strong>for</strong> their users.I assure you they know each of the techniques well,just as you know your old friends. You know that youcan take Sammy fishing, but he’s not a party animal(Jeff is) and they also know that sometimes we’refine with a sketch, sometimes a good old wireframewould do and sometimes we need a reusable prototypewritten in HTML.Simple, right? Nothing to get over-excited about and54efficient <strong>design</strong> techniques
