SECTION 8Data Cabling - How to ConnectPatch Panel Connection for Structured Cabling SystemThe telephone patch panel is a simple connection that performs the same function as the telephone card on thecombination VDU.You terminate one telephone line to obtain four outlets for that line. The connections are made internally as part ofthe circuit board. There are two termination points for two incoming telephone lines and four extensions for eachincoming line.To patch a telephone line to an outlet, you will need to use a patch lead. Plug the patch lead into the telephone line yourequire (Line 1 or 2).
